[Excerpt] - After Naraku is defeated and Kagome is sent home, Inuyasha goes back to his old, solitary ways. Except he keeps running into Sesshoumaru and his companions and gets unwillingly wrapped up in their lives.
Just reading the author's comments on the first chapter had me eager to read this - she comments that she wanted to write a fic without the usual trappings of SessInu fic, and damn has she succeeded perfectly. I will never ever read another SessInu fic this good. I would never say that if it wasn't so good that I just want to reach in and hug the author. Creepy, but that's worship/fangirlism for you! The characterization had me practically squealing with glee. They're so much themselves, but with more dimensions that are exciting to read. Inuyasha's interaction with...pretty much everyone is totally awesome and sometimes downright hilarious. I love everything about this fic and feel deeply for the characters, and always look forward to the ups and downs of each chapter. (Sesshoumaru x Inuyasha) (PG-13)
